Alaska sea cucumber are abundant in the southeast of Alaska, and plentiful in the protected areas of the south and west. Alaska sea cucumber can grow to 50 cm, 5 cm wide and weigh up to 500 grams when drained. It has a soft cylindrical body with reddish brown to yellowish leather-like skin. They mature in 4 to 8 years, with a life span touching on 12 years.
