Alaska spot shrimp are one of the largest species of shrimp in Alaska. The female is more than 23 cm long, with a reddish brown or tan body, with white horizontal bars on its shell and clear white spots on the first and fifth portions of its abdomen, hence the spotted name. They can be consumed raw or simply cooked for a delicious taste.
