Alaska Rock Sole is an abundant flatfish species, with a harvest season from January to April. During this period, schools gather out in the seas. In the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands, Rock Sole is usually harvested by vessels. Occasionally, near the Gulf of Alaska, fishing vessels and processing vessels are used.
